Reasonover was born and grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where he attended Renaissance High School. In high school, she was a part of Mosaic Youth Theatre, a group of over 100 youngsters who performed in Detroit and around the world. Reasonover graduated from Oberlin College with a bachelor’s degree in theater and dance. She also holds a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the California Institute of the Arts. She worked as a barista while attending school.
