Following her runway debut in 1997, Aoki walked for Balenciaga, Comme des Garçons, and Chanel, among others. At the age of 16, Aoki took over as Versace’s face in 1998, replacing Naomi Campbell.  She has also walked the runways for Versace, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Jean Paul Gaultier, Celine, Baby Phat, and Marc Jacobs, as well as for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Hugo Boss, L’Oreal, Lancome, and Tiffany & Co. Aoki has appeared on the covers of numerous international fashion magazines, including Ocean Drive, Vegas, Nylon, i-D, Interview, Elle Girl, and Wonderland in the United States; Cosmo Girl in Korea; Jalouse in France; Russh and 10 Magazine in Australia; Voce and Harper’s Bazaar in Japan; and Her World in Malaysia.
