In 2025, following a sequence of events involving Wakandans, Ritson stated a willingness to take aggressive action against Wakanda, specifically destabilization. Hanna

He appeared as John Carmichael, the CIA operative at the helm of both UTRAX programs in the American action drama television series Hanna. Hanna, a 15-year-old girl, lives with Erik, the only man she has ever known as her father, in a lonely forest in Poland. Erik previously recruited pregnant women for a CIA experiment called UTRAX, which involved enhancing the children’s DNA in order to create super-soldiers. Erik falls in love with Hanna’s mother, Johanna, and rescues baby Hanna before fleeing. The CIA then directs their on-site agent, Marissa, to terminate the project and eliminate all of the newborns.

The Righteous Gemstones

He appeared as Rev. John Wesley Seasons, a pastor of a much smaller congregation, forced to compete with the Gemstones’ new church in Locust Grove in the season 1 of the American crime television series The Righteous Gemstones. The Righteous Gemstones follows a family of televangelists and megachurch pastors lead by widowed patriarch Eli Gemstone. Eli and his immature children, Jesse, Judy, and Kelvin, live lavish lives supported by church donations.

In the first season, Eli’s estranged brother-in-law, Baby Billy Freeman, is hired to lead the Gemstones’ new shopping mall-based satellite church, which sparks a clash with Rev. John Wesley Seasons, whose smaller, neighboring church is under threat. Concurrently, a trio of masked persons blackmail Jesse with a scandalous film showing him and his best pals engaging in sexual behavior.

Homecoming

He appeared as Anthony, Heidi’s boyfriend in the season 1 of the American psychological thriller television series Homecoming. Heidi Bergman had worked as a social worker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a Geist Group-run live-in institution that ostensibly assisted troops in their transition to civilian life. Four years later, Bergman has begun a new life as a waitress, but she has difficulties recalling her time at Homecoming. After a US Department of Defense auditor inquires as to why she left Homecoming, Bergman realizes she had been mislead about the facility’s genuine purpose.

Pure Genius

He appeared as Dr. Walter Wallace, a triple board-certified and renowned surgeon in the American medical drama television series Pure Genius. James Bell, a Silicon Valley millionaire, wants to create a hospital with cutting-edge equipment to treat uncommon and incurable diseases. He collaborates with a maverick surgeon, Dr. Walter Wallace, who leads the movement to eliminate medical bureaucracy and focus on forward thinking, technological advancement, and lifesaving—all at no cost to the patient.

Shameless

In the fifth, sixth, and eighth seasons of Shameless in the United States, he played Sean Pierce, the former proprietor of Patsy’s Pies and Fiona’s ex-fiancé. Sean’s drug history is disclosed, as he is a recovering heroin addict who has incurred significant financial costs. Throughout the season, he and Fiona flirt. However, it is apparent that he flirts slightly with the other coworkers, but this could simply be how the workers have always been. He expresses a significant interest in her but eventually informs her that he cannot be with her. Sean reveals that he killed a man while on drugs.

More of Sean is shown as he becomes more involved in Fiona’s life, such as rescuing her brother Carl from the gangster life at the expense of some of his assets. He hands Fiona ownership of Patsy’s Pies and departs for good.
