David Tennant is a Scottish actor best known for playing the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in the science fiction series Doctor Who. In 2023, he returned as the show’s fourteenth incarnation. Tennant was born David John McDonald in Bathgate on April 18, 1971, as the son of Helen (née McLeod; 1940-2007) and Alexander “Sandy” McDonald (1937-2016).
