Biography

David Koechner is a Comedy and actor who hails from the United States most well-known performances are on The Office and  in the Anchorman movies. Following his breakthrough performance in the 2004 comedy Anchorman as Champ Kind, Koechner started making regular appearances in more prominent supporting roles in a number of high-profile humorous movies.

Family – Education

He is the son of Margaret Ann (née Downey) and Cecil Stephen Koechner. He has three sisters, Mary-Rose, Cecilia, and Joan, and two brothers, Mark and Joe. According to Koechner, “If you see a turkey going down the road in a big truck, most likely its coop is from Tipton…”, his father’s company produced turkey coops. He is of German, English, and Irish ancestry and was raised as a Catholic. After deciding to pursue a career in improvisational comedy and moving to Chicago, Koechner studied political science at Benedictine College and the University of Missouri. Following her training under renowned improvisation teacher Del Close at Chicago’s ImprovOlympic, Koechner joined the 1994 graduate comedy troupe The Second City in Chicago.

Koechner was taken into custody on December 31, 2021, New Year’s Eve, in Simi Valley, California, on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. March 30 in Ventura, California, was designated as the court date. He was charged on March 31 with DUI and hit-and-run. He may spend up to six months in jail for each misdemeanor, be placed on probation, and have to complete an alcohol education program.

Koechner was arrested for DUI in Ohio on June 4, 2022. This was his second DUI arrest in less than six months. He has now pursued sobriety and soon started talking openly about his alcoholism.

F Is for Family

He played Robert “Bob Pogo” Pogrohovich, the obese, egotistical, chain-smoking former boss and buddy of Frank. He creates a fast food restaurant in season 5 after persuading Mrs. Dunbarton to sell Mohican Airways, but it fails miserably because of its unappealing cuisine.

December 18, 2015, saw the premiere of F Is For Family. The fifth and final season of the show was renewed by Netflix on October 1, 2020, and it concluded on November 25, 2021, having produced 44 episodes throughout five seasons. Six episodes make up the first season, 10 episodes each of the next three, and eight episodes make up the last season.
