David began performing at the age of 12, but his professional career began when he joined the ‘Ensemble Studio Theatre’ in New York. He had the opportunity to perform in a number of ‘off-Broadway’ shows. He made his ‘Broadway’ debut in 1990, as a hustler in John Guare’s ‘Six Degrees of Separation,’ which was produced at the ‘Lincoln Center.’ He was also a founding member of the award-winning play ‘Take Me Out.’ David broke into the public with the character of ‘Lawrence’ in the 1989 film ‘Rude Awakening.’ Later, he played ‘Bucky’ in the 1993 ‘HBO’ dystopian science-fiction thriller TV film ‘Daybreak.’
