Gibson made his acting debut as Darius “O-Dog” Hill in the HBO drama series The Wire, co-starring in 8 episodes from 2006 to 2008. He later played Leron in the movie Toe to Toe (2009) and appeared in 2 episodes of the web series Monday Wednesday and Friday, and wrote the script of one episode in which he starred. He has also made guest appearances on various television shows such as Southland, Shameless, The Bridge and Major Crimes. He also appeared in the Showtime drama Californication, the Starz drama “Power,” the FX drama “You’re the Worst,” and the HBO dramas “Barry” and “We Have a Town.” He also appeared in the films Keanu (2016), 20th Century Women (2016), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and Judas and the Black Messiah (2021).
