She began writing investigative news articles for the monthly periodical ‘St. Louis Magazine,’ published in St. Louis, Missouri, after attending Webster University. She also created her website ‘Mamalogues,’ which was picked up by a major St. Louis newspaper, the ‘St. Louis Post-Dispatch,’ as a weekly column. It earned her the title of ‘Best Newspaper Columnist St. Louis 2007’ from the weekly newspaper ‘Riverfront Times’ in St. Louis, Missouri.
