She began her career in marketing after graduating from Florida State University with a degree in marketing. After leaving corporate America, Hansen presented the Jack Nicklaus pilot Killer Golf and Travel Channel segments, worked as a fashion and fitness model, and appeared on the covers of Hot Rod Magazine, Muscle & Fitness, and other prominent magazines. Hansen’s first major television gig was as co-host of the popular car makeover show Overhaulin’. She went on to anchor Spike TV’s Powerblock for eight seasons, which consisted of four half-hour automobile shows.
