Corey Stoll Law & Order: LA

She played the role of Detective Tomas Jaruszalski, a detective in the Robbery-Homicide Division of the Los Angeles Police Department on Law & Order: LA. Jaruszalski, also known as “TJ,” is a mid-30s Hollywood native with a cynical view of the entertainment industry. He’s a younger man who believes that being a cop is the most fun that anyone can legally have.

His attitude is that you get to compete with the bad guys and go to places that no one else ever sees. He hasn’t been beaten up by the job like his colleague has. Much of Jaruszalski’s dialogue is made up of sarcastic, pun-laden observations delivered at dramatically appropriate times. Jaruszalski is well-versed in narcotics, having spent three years in Vice and growing up in a drug-infested environment. (Harbor City, Los Angeles) Jaruszalski’s frequent visits to nightclubs are hinted at in “Playa Vista.”
