Columbus Short is an American actor and choreographer. He choreographed Britney Spears’ Onyx Hotel Tour and collaborated with Brian Friedman. He is best recognized for his parts in the films Stomp the Yard, Cadillac Records, Armored, and The Losers. Short made his acting debut as a dancer in You Got Served. He also appeared in Accepted.

Columbus Short Career
Short moved to Los Angeles when he was five years old and immediately started working in a youth theater. Short made his acting debut as a dancer in You Got Served and later appeared in Accepted, which starred Justin Long. He later played the lead in the direct-to-DVD film Save the Last Dance 2, opposite Izabella Miko and Stomp the Yard. He has also starred twice on the Disney Channel Original Series That’s So Raven as Trey, a member of the fictional boy band “Boyz n’ Motion.” Other television appearances include ER and Judge Amy. He previously appeared as Harrison Wright, a series regular on the ABC drama Scandal. Short confirmed on April 26, 2014, that she would exit Scandal after three seasons.
In 2006, he played Darius Hawthorne, a novice program writer, on NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He was one of the presenters at the 2007 NAACP Image Awards. Columbus appears in the 2007 film This Christmas, which costarred Chris Brown and Lauren London. Short participated in the 2008 film Quarantine, co-starring Jay Hernandez and Jennifer Carpenter, and played musician Little Walter in Cadillac Records, alongside Jeffrey Wright, Beyoncé Knowles, and Oscar-winner Adrien Brody. In 2010, he starred as “Pooch” in the film The Losers, based on the graphic novel and directed by Sylvain White (who had previously directed Short in Stomp The Yard).
