Colin Morgan was discovered by theatre director Rufus Norris in 2007 and he was blown away by his abilities. Norris cast Morgan as the title character of ‘Vernon God Little’ while he was still in his senior year of college. Morgan’s first professional London West End stage performance was a huge success. In the same year, he performed the iconic role of Esteban, an ambitious young writer, in ‘Todo Sobre mi Madre (All about my mother). Pedro Almodóvar created the play. Morgan was nominated for ‘London Newcomer of the Year’ in the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards for his roles in both ‘Vernon God Little’ and ‘Esteban.’

Morgan portrayed Leo Elster in the science fiction series Humans.’ That same year, he played Frankie Shea in the gangster film ‘Legend.’ In 2016, he starred in ‘The Laughing King,’ a short film intended at raising awareness about mental diseases such as depression.
