Colin Kelly Jost is an American comedian, writer, and actor. He is a writer and performer best known for Saturday Night Live (1975), Tom and Jerry (2021), and How to Be Single (2016). Jost has been in a number of comedic roles. He has performed stand-up comedy on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, TBS, and HBO.

Career
After graduation, Yost worked as a reporter and copywriter for the Staten Island Advance. He was later hired as a writer for the Nickelodeon series “Kappa Mikey”. After leaving that job, he submitted a script to NBC’s “Saturday Night Live”, which earned him a writing job in 2005. He worked as a writer from 2012 to 2015, a position he returned to from 2017 to 2022. SNL co-head writer Rob Klein. Jost attended the Primetime Emmy Awards with McCutcheon in September 2018.
Jost appeared alongside Michael Che on the March 4, 2019 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, and it was announced that the duo would be the special announcers for WrestleMania 35. Braun Strowman joined the storyline that led to Jost and Che entering the Andre Giant Memorial Royal Rumble. WrestleMania. During the match, Jost and Che remained outside the ring for most of the match and then attempted to eliminate Strowman, who attempted to do the same to The Hardy Boy. Yost was tried to make things worse by his doctor, but Strowman choked him out and eliminated both men in a quick match to win the Royal Rumble. In July 2020, Yost published a novel titled “A Very Punchable Face: A Memoir.” The book received critical acclaim and became a New York Times bestseller. On April 27, 2024, Yost hosted the White House Correspondents’ Night, an annual gathering of reporters, mostly presidents and comedians. In the 20-minute monologue, Yost criticized Trump and Biden, praised Biden’s “morality,” joked about his marriage to Scarlett Johansson, and praised the white press.
