Cirie Fields Panama
On Survivor, Fields first became well-known: Island of exile in Panama. She was originally cast as a member of Casaya, the oldest tribe in the game. When her tribe lost the first Immunity Challenge, she was at risk of being the first to be eliminated. However, she was successful in persuading Ruth-Marie Milliman and Melinda Hyder to vote against Tina Scheer. Fields were once again in the spotlight as one of the physically weakest competitors of the new Casaya tribe when the four original tribes were reduced to two, leaving only the La Mina and Casaya in the competition. However, Fields saved herself once more on Day Six when Hyder was eliminated. Fields eventually succeeded in merging with her tribemates and assimilation.
Danielle DiLorenzo and Terry Dietz worked together to eliminate Fields on Day 34 when there were only four players in the game. They were both sent to Exile Island by Aras Baskauskas, who would later win immunity on Day 36. Fields and Baskauskas made the decision to vote out DiLorenzo alone at camp because they didn’t want to risk Dietz using his hidden immunity idol. Dietz taught DiLorenzo how to start a fire with flint, and Baskauskas taught Fields the same thing, anticipating a draw and the fire-making challenge that followed.
The impending tie vote took place at Tribal Council, and DiLorenzo and Fields were tied with two votes each. Using a flint and materials to support the fire (coconut shells, pieces of wood, straw, etc.), the two competed in the fire-making challenge. They were to start a bonfire that would burn through a rope high enough. The first person to finish this task would live, and the second would go to the jury. Fields lost this challenge, becoming the sixth jury member and finishing fourth overall. Fields expressed her pride in having advanced so far in the competition in her final remarks following her elimination. Fields chose Baskauskas over DiLorenzo to win the $1 million prize and the title of “Sole Survivor” at the Final Tribal Council. Fields won a 2007 GMC Yukon pickup truck this season because she was voted the most popular participant by viewers.
Cirie Fields Micronesia
Fields was picked to take part in Survivor’s 20th season, Heroes vs. Villains, for the third time in her career. Being a member of the Heroes tribe made her immediately a target for Tom Westman and Stephenie LaGrossa’s elimination. However, she was spared at the first Tribal Council because the Heroes tribe eliminated Jessica “Sugar” Kiper, who was regarded as the weakest and most emotional member of the tribe, unanimously. In Episode Two, Fields and Candice Woodcock, another member of their tribe, cast the deciding vote to send LaGrossa packing with a 6-3 victory.
In Episode 4, Fields came up with a strategy to take out a member of the opposing alliance and ultimately the immunity idol after receiving a hint about a hidden immunity idol and thinking that Westman had discovered it. She intended to divide the vote between Colby Donaldson and Westman, but she did not anticipate J.T. Thomas, who had overheard her preparations. As Westman deployed his idol at Tribal Council, Thomas betrayed his ally and assisted in Fields’ elimination. She finished 17th overall and was the fourth contestant to be booted from the competition.
