Christopher Thornton Magnum P.I.

He plays Kenny ‘Shammy’ Shamberg in the 2018 series Magnum P.I. Shammy is another friend who became an even bigger part of the team as the season progressed. In “Death Is Only Temporary,” Rick and TC meet fellow Iraq War veteran Shammy, who is depressed and ready to die after being paralyzed from fighting in Iraq. When they take him surfing and then give him a reason to live — friendship and a job as a mechanic on TC’s choppers.

Shammy reappeared in later episodes as one of the guys, and like Rick and TC, he is frequently dragged into assisting Magnum on his cases. The friendship Shammy has with Rick and TC is one of the things that makes him such a fantastic recurring character. In “I, the Deceased,” Shammy uses his mechanical expertise to examine a car for one of Magnum’s cases, and while he converses with TC, Rick maneuvers Shammy’s wheelchair like a curious child attempting to understand how his friend’s wheels operate. They all seem to understand one another and get along well; their friendship comes across as very natural.

Christopher Thornton Grey’s Anatomy

He played Daniel Campbell, a patient who was injured in a plane crash in season thirteen of Grey’s Anatomy episode Falling Slowly. Daniel and his wife, Polly, were on a glider plane when it crashed. She accompanied him because it was his first time away from the instructor and he wanted her to be present. Both were airlifted to the hospital, where Daniel was treated for superficial facial lacerations and a piece of the plane lodged in his leg.

When he didn’t respond to the injury to his leg, the doctors were concerned, but he told them he’d been paralyzed for three years. Polly had far more serious injuries, including a laceration to her spleen, which the doctors decided to leave alone for the time being. Daniel went to see Polly, but her spleen ruptured and she had to be rushed to the hospital. Daniel learned that Polly had been paralyzed following surgery, and Meredith told him that she needed Daniel to tell her that it wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened.
