Belly spends every summer at the Cousins Beach home of her mother’s closest friend. She was the youngest and only girl among the four children, thus as a child, she felt excluded. However, this summer, Conrad and Jeremiah saw how much she had changed in the previous year. Belly has the idea that their interest in her will make this an amazing summer.

After a terrible performance at the Winter Talent Show, Regina’s reputation suffers, and Cady takes over as the new “queen bee.”

Cady deceives Regina, causing the junior girls to revolt. Following a cathartic intervention led by math instructor Ms. Norbury and principal Duvall, Cady assumes full responsibility for the book.
