Wallace is the son of the late CBS 60 Minutes reporter Mike Wallace and his first wife Norma Kaphan. Wallace is Jewish, as were both of his parents. Chris Wallace joining CNN+
During one of his shows on Fox News Sunday, Chris announced that he was leaving the network. He said, “I want to try something new, to go beyond politics to all the things I am interested in. I am ready for a new adventure, I hope you’ll check it out.”
It was also announced that he would be joining CNN+, a streaming service that will be launched in early 2022. He will be hosting a weekday show as an anchor conducting interviews with newsmakers “across politics, business, sports and culture.” In his statement, Chris said in part, “I am thrilled to join CNN+. After decades in broadcast and cable news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming.”
