Maddock began acting shortly after graduating from high school. He travels frequently to the United States and Mexico. His comedies are mostly autobiographical. Maddock was the main host of the long-running Deadly Comedy Jam at Grumpy’s Bar in Minneapolis from 2003 to 2018. Bamford, Doug Stanhope and Andy Kindler. Maddock and the series as a whole are profiled in the documentary “The Last Stand”, shot during the series finale. Voted the best representative in Minneapolis-St. Paul was founded by City Pages in 2014. Both were recorded in Minneapolis at the 7th Street Entry and Hook & Ladder Theatre, respectively.
Point of Entry, comes with a live DVD called Rookie Mistake. The album received positive reviews from critics. Ed Placencia of Comedy Reviews praised Maddock for showing a “great sense of poise” by making jokes that did not distract from the plot, but noted that frustration was only part of Maddock’s diminutive personality, reflecting what Plasencia called “endless work” . .” Richard Lanoy of the website Serious Comedy called it “fantastic.” Jack Austin of Roctober magazine also praised Maddock’s ability to come up with jokes on the most baffling and absurd subjects, calling him “rarely funny” with a “special, quirky twist.” Country Music Legends was released on October 2, 2020. The stand-up album ended with Maddock performing two songs with a live band.
