Career
After high school, he took community college classes and worked a variety of jobs, including being a truck-loading warehouse worker. When Estrada was 29, he went to Maverick’s Flat for his first open mic show and continued entertaining audiences from there. In 2018, it was named one of the top ten comics to watch by Time Out LA. The following year, he wrote the set for Comedy Central’s Up Next. In 2021, Vulture included her on its “Celebrities You Should Know” list. Estrada and Matt Ingebresson produced a television series based on Estrada’s life, with Fred Armisen eventually serving as executive producer. Estrada left his job full-time until the stadium was sold in 2019. Hulu announced in 2021 that it had acquired the show, which was eventually called “Dumb.” The first season was released in 2022 and received critical acclaim. Season 2 will premiere in July 2023. Hulu canceled the show in February 2024.
