Charles Fleischer is an American actor, comedian, musician, and writer. He is an actor and writer best known for Zodiac (2007), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).

Career
Fleischer is best known for voicing Roger Rabbit in the films Who’s Roger Rabbit, [3] Benny Taxi, Greasy and Shocker. Following the film’s success, he continued voicing Roger on various Disney television shows and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, as well as three short films. Fleischer’s other voice-over credits include The Polar Express and We’re Back! It takes place! Dinosaur Story. Screen credits include “Back to the Future Part II” and “Gridlock’d.”
Fleischer starred in the 1970s TV series Welcome Back, Kotter played the role of Carvelli on the ABC TV series Laverne & Shirley, and Chuck as the voice of Benny the Cab on the Disney cartoon series House of Mouse. . Fleischer made his Laugh-In debut on January 15, 1973, playing a home prop made of pipes and bathtubs. He appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on May 15, 1974. He made a guest appearance on The Weird Al Show, playing a member of the group. He also starred in the short film “Wacko” on Saturday morning.
Fleischer is the creator of the saying “If you remember the 60s, you were never there”[4], which is wrong for many actors. He played the role of a reporter in Roger Waters’ “What God Wants, Part II” from his 1992 album Amused to Death. He is also a musician and songwriter. He had a residency with the Blues Travelers at the Wilton Theater in Los Angeles on November 22, 1995, and performed at the Connecticut Avenue Improv Theater from December 10 to 15, 2002. He hosted his own theater from December 2010 to September 2011. Fleischer’s Universe, a weekly web show airing on Ustream.tv, is produced by Brad Wyman. Fleischer performed at the Laugh Factory with Bob Golub and Nick Aragon at the Tropicana in Las Vegas on January 17–20, 2019.
