Cathy Kelley is an American journalist, TV host, model, and actress who presently works as a backstage interviewer for WWE’s SmackDown brand. She is also recognized for her earlier stint with WWE, which lasted from 2016 until 2020.

Career

She participated in panels on Maria Menounos’ internet network AfterBuzz TV before landing a deal with WWE. Following a two-year hiatus, WWE said on October 6, 2022, that Kelley had returned to the RAW brand as an official backstage interviewer. In high school, Kelley developed an interest in journalism and began hosting a number of her school’s newscasts. She earned a multimedia journalism degree from Loyola University Chicago. She is a qualified Mensa journalist as well as a member of Mensa International, the biggest and oldest high IQ society in the world.

In addition to hosting GenYTV on WTTW, Kelley has also contributed to and hosted WOI-DT’s The Open House Television Show, DSM Living, and Hot Off The Press on JUCE TV. 2012 saw Kelley join AfterBuzz TV. She participated in panel discussions on the networks’ Monday Night Raw, NXT, and ABC’s The Bachelor recap shows. She started a podcast in 2013 called “Chatting with Cathy,” in which she conducted interviews with social media influencers, celebrities, and network pals. As a flight attendant on the Netflix series #blackAF in 2020, Kelley made her acting debut. WWE said on October 6, 2022, that Kelley will be joining the business again to conduct backstage interviews for the Raw series. She began working for the Smackdown brand in June 2023 in the same capacity.
