Wilson’s Weight Loss

Wilson, who wrote in The Wreckage of My Presence on her relationship with food and weight loss, tells EatingWell that she makes an effort not to place a value on food, particularly when her two children are around. When it comes to fostering a positive attitude about food and moderation, Wilson is on the right track. Anything can be a part of a healthy eating pattern, even sweets and salty snacks. As seen by the heart-healthy advantages of dark chocolate and the brain-healthy benefits of wine, some meals that we may consider harmful actually have a lot of health benefits.

Wilson’s easygoing strategy for eating healthfully is similar to intuitive eating, which promotes savoring favorite foods, eating just when hungry, and stopping when satisfied. It’s a straightforward idea, but studies suggest that it can benefit people with eating disorders and enhance body image.

Grey’s Anatomy

Wilson played Courtney Hall, a patient who was pregnant with quadruplets in the season twelve Grey’s Anatomy episode Odd Man Out. Courtney was expecting her fourth set of twins. Due to the diagnosis of TTTS in two of the fetuses throughout her pregnancy, Arizona had fetal surgery to divide the arteries. Courtney was placed on bed rest with constant fetal monitoring as she recovered, but the procedure was successful. Ben performed an ultrasound and found three of the fetuses with ease; however, Baby C—the only boy, whom they were named Charles—was not where he expected, so he paged Arizona.

When she found Charles, she discovered that Courtney was in labor and that he had descended. They gave her medication to try to stop her labor and took her to the operating room in case they had to deliver the babies. She continued to labor, and Charles began to experience late decelerations. Arizona told Courtney that Charles was already partially born and that she would have to deliver him. Arizona made the decision to deliver Charles, sterilize his chord, and re-insert it to stop the labor and give the other three pregnancies time to continue gestating after Courtney pleaded with her to take action to rescue her babies.
