Carly Flynn TV3
Before it was canceled in early 2007, she hosted NZ News Week, a half-hour weekly wrap of New Zealand’s top news stories produced by TV3 for Sky News Australia and the TV3 website.
Flynn took over as the presenter of TV3’s late-night news program Nightline on 14 March 2005, succeeding long-time TV3 presenter Carolyn Robinson, who became 3 News’ weekend presenter. In addition to presenting, Flynn continued to file reports for the show.

Flynn left Nightline on September 7, 2007, to host Sunrise, a short-lived breakfast show on TV3. Sunrise premiered on October 2, 2007, with her co-hosting James Coleman, however on October 6, 2008, she began hosting alongside new presenter Oliver Driver. Sunrise was canceled on April 8, 2010, due to financial difficulties.

Flynn began her career in print journalism with the Herald community group newspapers, then went on to work for Counties Manukau Radio station before reporting, presenting, and producing for Prime TV’s Waikato and Bay of Plenty regional news.
She traveled widely, including a time in Dublin where she worked for local radio station Newstalk 106 as well as You’re A Star, an Irish pop star show, before returning to New Zealand and starting as a reporter for 3 News.
In 2012, she joined Brooke Howard-Smith as co-host of Three’s consumer affairs show Target, taking over for Janette Thomas. Since 2013, Target has been off the air. Flynn joins the Three Morning Show The Café as a co-host in 2019 alongside Mel Homer. The series came to an end at the conclusion of 2020.
