Dancing with the Stars is an Irish reality television programme that premiered on RTÉ One on January 8, 2017. RTÉ One stated in August 2016 that an Irish version of Dancing with the Stars would replace The Voice of Ireland. The production team’s ability to generate a show equivalent to The Voice on a fraction of the budget pleased the show’s producer. However, the RTÉ Television Centre in Dublin’s studios were too small for the large-scale production, so it was moved to Ardmore Studios in County Wicklow, where the largest studio is 15,000 square feet.
