In the seventh season of Station 19, Esposito portrayed Paula Kelly, a construction worker who was impaled in her arm by a nail. Paula was shot in the arm by accident while she was working as a construction worker with a nail. She made the decision to try to remove the nail herself even though she knew her employer might terminate her if she filed a workers’ compensation lawsuit. Before she could remove it, Dominic Amaya and Theo Ruiz found her and brought her to Station 19, where they hoped to remove it without sending her to the hospital because an ultrasound had revealed that it had missed major arteries.
Ben numbed her arm and guided the excision of the nail with ultrasonography. He sutured her once it was out, and then Dominic and Theo got her back to work. Esposito voices Carroll, the cloud figure in “The Tower” and “Winter Light.” Finn meets Carroll, a Cloud Person, in the episode “The Tower.” She was once a body of water, but she disappeared because she became bored of people swimming in her. Finn is initially mistaken by her for one of these swimmers, and she calls him a “real swim nut” after striking him in the face with her lightning pistol. When Carroll learns that Finn is experiencing issues and is not a swimmer, she starts to get along with him and even gives him some advice. She can fly about her cloud house where she resides.
She was transformed into an Ice person in “Winter Light” by Patience St. Pim’s elemental powers, and she currently resides in the new ice kingdom. Carroll makes another appearance as a Water Nymph near the conclusion of “Come Along With Me”. In The Grotto, she can be seen sketching at the water’s edge while the ponytail Water Nymph stands behind her.
