Biography
Cam Gigandet is an American actor who has had recurrent roles on The O.C. and appeared in films such as Twilight, Pandorum, Never Back Down, Burlesque, Easy A, Priest, and The Magnificent Seven. He has also appeared in the CBS legal drama series Reckless. Between 2016 and 2018, Gigandet starred in the Audience Network drama series Ice.

Gigandet was born in Tacoma, Washington, to Kim and Jay Gigandet, co-owners of The Rock pizza chain. His sister, Kelsie, is a hair stylist. After graduating from Auburn Senior High School in Auburn, Washington, in 2001, he relocated to California and attended Santa Monica College.

Gigandet and Dominique Geisendorff married in 2008. They have two girls and one boy. Geisendorff petitioned for divorce in August 2022.

The O.C.
He appeared as Kevin Volchok in the third and fourth seasons of the Fox drama series The O.C. Johnny Harper, a personal buddy of Volchok, is vying for a surfing sponsorship. Following Johnny’s death, Marissa, who was also jealous of Volchok, becomes outraged and forms a friendship with him. Meanwhile, Ryan pursues a romance with Johnny’s cousin, Sadie Campbell, who previously dated Volchok. The competition heats up when Volchok begins a casual sexual relationship with Marissa, who has been estranged from her friends and family.
Volchok and Marissa had romantic moments, such as viewing The Sound of Music and inviting him to her senior prom. Volchok takes money for the prom after-party, and Ryan nearly catches him. Volchok eventually steals the money and nearly kills Ryan. Ryan suspects Volchok and approaches him in his flat. Volchok blackmails Ryan into taking part in a robbery, threatening to press assault charges against him and jeopardizing his graduation. He leads Ryan to a Newport home to steal an expensive car, but is apprehended by a police car. Volchok insists that Ryan assist him in escaping Newport and persuade Marissa to speak with him, but she refuses.
Following Marissa’s death, Volchok flees to Mexico to avoid being charged with her murder. Julie Cooper and Ryan get obsessed with finding Volchok and bringing him to justice. Julie employs a private investigator to discover Volchok and provides Ryan with Volchok’s last known address. Ryan travels to Mexico to find Volchok, despite the Cohen family’s protests. Seth Cohen finds Volchok first and tells him to give himself in to the police. Meanwhile, Kirsten and Sandy Cohen persuade Ryan to renounce his quest for vengeance and return to Newport.
Sandy places Volchok in a local motel and promises to be his public defender. Ryan finds Volchok down at his motel room and brutally assaults him. Volchok tells Ryan that it was an accident, that he loved Marissa and intended to harm him. After they finish conversing, Volchok walks outside his motel room, where police, Sandy, and assistant district attorney Greg Hoades await him.
With Volchok in custody, Ryan and Julie can finally move on from Marissa’s death, as his trial and sentencing are not seen on film.
Twilight
He appears in Twilight as James. James led his coven alongside Victoria and Laurent. He detected the scent of Bella Swan and pursued her as his next meal in Twilight. Using his tracking abilities, he tracked down Bella in Phoenix and attempted to draw her into a trap by pretending to have abducted Bella’s mother, Renée Dwyer. However, he failed to feed Bella and was killed by Emmett Cullen and Jasper Hale (and Alice Cullen in the film). He was the main antagonist in both the Twilight novel and the film. His Life and Death counterpart is Joss.
James was a crafty, vicious, and deadly tracker who sought humans and vampires for survival and the thrill of the hunt. He would kill a coven member if it meant inciting the remnants to pursue him, as it was more enjoyable and hazardous for him. James had no regard for human life and would kill anyone who reached his prey before he did. He never stopped hunting till he caught his target. James did not demonstrate much leadership when his coven met the Cullens, causing many to believe he was the coven leader. In the Twilight film, James enjoyed collecting souvenirs from his victims, including Waylon Forge’s jacket. He also carried security badges, wedding rings, and marshal pins. In a deleted scene, Victoria stated that James despised vehicles, maybe because they could conceal a person’s scent. He relished hearing a human’s cry before killing them.
