Caitlin is from the Philadelphia suburbs, where she most recently worked in television. He worked as a weekend meteorologist and co-host, as well as filling in for morning traffic. The Blizzard of ’96, which dumped 30 inches of snow on Philadelphia, aroused her interest in meteorology for the first time. She studied meteorology at Penn State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She recently received the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist accreditation.
She started her start broadcasting the weather at Accuweather in State College, Pennsylvania, while still at Penn State. She then traveled to WOWT in Omaha, Nebraska, where she encountered everything from 110 mph straight-line winds to -30°F wind chills. However, there have been no reports of tornadoes. She then returned to the East Coast to work for WTXF and the FOX 29 weather crew in Philadelphia. When she’s not working, she can be found studying everything there is to know about Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland, from the highways to the sports teams.
