Before her acting career took off, she was a professional dancer who performed with many well-known recording artists such as Beyoncé, Ne-Yo, and Pitbull. Prior to acting, Carver worked as a dancer on several television shows, including Nashville, Glee, Parks and Recreation, and the VH1 cheerleading soapy drama Hit the Floor, where he played the recurring character Mason. She began appearing in Twisted, Southland, and Stalker as a guest star in 2014. In 2014, she was also cast for two seasons as Hayley Heinz in the ABC Family drama series The Fosters. While filming The Fosters, Carver was cast as Becca Arrington in the film adaptation of John Green’s best-seller Paper Towns.

Carver played Lacey Briggs in the ABC prime time soap drama Blood & Oil, opposite Don Johnson, Amber Valletta, and Scott Michael Foster. In the ABC series pilot Model Woman, Carver played Michelle Geiss, a hesitant beauty and aspiring photographer who is both cerebral and skilled. She appeared alongside Andie MacDowell, Steven Weber, and Nicole Ari Parker. She was also cast in Warren Beatty’s Rules Don’t Apply and appeared on NCIS, Timeless, and Heroes Reborn.
