Brian Posehn is a stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor, composer, and writer from the United States. Following several TV guest star roles, Posehn landed his first significant recurring role alongside Bob and David on HBO’s Mr. Show. His most well-known roles are as Brian Spukowski on Comedy Central’s The Sarah Silverman Program and Jim Kuback on The WB’s Mission Hill. Posehn played geologist Bert Kibbler in a recurring role on The Big Bang Theory.

Bert takes Howard’s place in “The Solo Oscillation,” where Howard and Raj are playing in their band “Footprints on the Moon.” In “The Bow Tie Asymmetry,” Bert assists Amy and Sheldon in determining the wedding gift by drawing a comparison between himself and a geode. Bert begs Raj for assistance in cracking open a meteorite in “The Meteorite Manifestation,” but Leonard takes it and turns into a flesh-eating zombie.
