White began performing in a variety of television shows, including Moesha, The Parkers, Spyder Games, Second Time Around, and The Shield. He later transitioned into film, appearing in The Family Stone, Brick, Stomp the Yard, The Game Plan, and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. On Moonlight, he appeared on several occasions as Lieutenant Carl Davis. In 2009, White participated in the films Fighting and 12 Rounds. He starred in I Can Do Bad All by Myself before moving on to a regular part in the series Men of a Certain Age. In 2011, White appeared in The Heart Specialist and Politics of Love. He subsequently began traveling with David E. Talbert’s theatrical drama, What My Husband Doesn’t Know.
White co-hosted the UNCF national “Empower Me” tour and appeared in the music video for Monica’s song “Until It’s Gone”.
