Brently Heilbron began performing stand-up in Dallas when he was 15, skipping school and auditioning for a local comedy club. In 2007, he hosted Sir Paul McCartney for a special performance at Amoeba Music. His successful performance in R. Kelly’s “Traped in the Closet” earned him mention in places such as the Los Angeles Times blog and the New York Times.[3] On stage, he was selected by Woody Allen to appear in the Los Angeles Opera’s production of Gianni Schicchi. He hosts and produces the PBS series Stand Up Empire and stars in Bravo’s unscripted television series Significant Others, as well as NBC’s Friday Night Lights Season 5 and ABC Family’s The Lying Game. and ABC’s “The Last of Us” (TV series).
