Flay went to work in the pizza room and Baskin-Robbins at 17 years of age. He was a first-class member at the French Institute for Culinary Arts. The restaurants of Flay include three Mesa Grill, two in Las Vegas, and one in the Bahamas. Flay won its only Michelin Star in 2008 and was taken away in the 2009 edition of the Las Vegas Mesa Grill.
