Cyrus released his debut album, ‘Some Gave All,’ in 1992, and it was a commercial success, selling more than 20 million copies worldwide. He then began touring and released his third album, ‘Storm in the Heartland,’ the following year, which did not do well commercially. With his popularity on the decline, he released his fourth album, ‘Trail of Tears,’ in 1996. Despite critical acclaim, the album was a commercial flop. Two years later, he appeared in his first film, ‘Radical Jack,’ an independent film. He was cast as a regular in the medical family drama ‘Doc’ in 2001. The show became popular among viewers and lasted five seasons. Following his appearance in ‘Doc,’ he went on to make guest appearances on television shows. From 2006, he was featured as a regular cast member in the popular musical comedy TV series ‘Hannah Montana’ in which his daughter Miley Cyrus played the lead. In 2007, he competed on the reality dance show Dancing with the Stars,’ where he finished fifth. With three other musicians, he formed the alternative rock band ‘Brother Clyde’ in 2009. He later replaced the band members with three other musicians, and the band released its self-titled album the following year.
In 2010, Cyrus ended his collaboration with ‘Brother Clyde’ to focus on his solo career. He has since released albums such as “I’m American” and “Change My Mind.” He also appeared as a supporting actor in the Jackie Chan film ‘The Spy Next Door’ in 2010. He has also appeared in a few television specials that detail his journey to success.
