Crudup Childhood, Family – Education

During his childhood, Thomas Henry Crudup III and Georgann (née Gaither) divorced, remarried, and then got divorced again. He is descended from North Carolina Congressman Josiah Crudup on his father’s side. His maternal grandmother eventually remarried to Episcopal bishop James Duncan, and his maternal grandpa was the well-known Florida trial lawyer William Cotter “Billy” Gaither, Jr. Producers Brooks and Tommy, Crudup’s middle-born brothers, are also producers.

When he was around eight years old, he and his family moved out of New York and lived in Texas and then Florida. In 1986, he received his diploma from Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.

Crudup pursued his love of acting with the student acting group, LAB! Theatre, while earning his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was also an actor for General College, the hit show on UNC-STV. After that, he pursued his acting studies at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated in 1994 with a Master of Fine Arts degree.

After meeting Australian actress Naomi Watts on the set of the Netflix drama series Gypsy, Crudup started dating her in 2017. In June 2023, the couple tied the knot in New York City. A huckster named Jack Billings owns a modest company in a retrofuturistic universe where itinerant salesmen sell timeshares on the moon door to door (on Earth). Jack takes the money, gives it to his workers, keeps the remainder for himself, and moves on to the next town, postponing ever longer the launch of the imaginary rocket that will carry his clients to their imaginary new houses.

Jack discovers he has located his son Joey in one of the towns; however, Joey is unaware that Jack is his father. In addition to hiring Joey as a salesperson and deciding to stay in this town for the time being, Jack also wants to keep the bogus business from collapsing around him and is attempting to figure out how to inform Joey that they are father and son without upsetting him.

In a meeting with Chip over The Morning Show’s future, Cory proposed Bradley for the position of field correspondent. Crudup appeared as Michael Holloway, Jean’s husband and a partner at Cooper, Woolf & Stein in the American psychological thriller drama television series Gypsy. Sam, an ex-lover, needs Jean, a therapist with a lovely Connecticut home, a loving husband, and a daughter named Dolly, to help him move on. She identifies herself as Diane to Sidney when they first meet in a coffee shop. Two more patients of Jean’s are Allison, a troubled teenage girl, and Claire, an overbearing mother. While Michael and his helper Alexis develop an odd friendship, Jean attempts to strike a balance between her fascination with Sidney and her parental responsibilities.

Sidney, who Jean has reconnected with, confesses that she is attracted to older women. In addition, Jean makes an effort to free Allison from an abusive partnership. During her sessions, Jean assumes the character of Sidney, and with the encouragement of her supervisor, she drives Allison to a NA meeting. Jean and Sidney argue, with Sidney saying she’s afraid and “Diane” calling her a manipulator. Jean goes to a commune where Rebecca, Claire’s daughter, keeps secrets. While Jean finds Sidney and gives her a passionate kiss, Larin notices her and attempts to stop her. Michael is spending the evening with a buddy who recently got divorced.
