Jago began her career at Vibe FM radio station (later known as Vibe 105-108, and now known as Kiss 105-108), rising from researcher to co-host of the breakfast show. She was spotted by ITV News Anglia producers after appearing in a television documentary about Vibe FM, and she also appeared on Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff, where she would introduce phone-in contributors.

On February 28, 2003, Jago joined Capital London as Chris Tarrant’s foil on Capital Breakfast. After Tarrant left in 2004, she stayed with the new host Johnny Vaughan, but her involvement ended when her contract expired in December 2004. She then worked as a reporter for GMTV’s Entertainment Today and Sky Sports News before returning to ITV Anglia as a feature reporter and presenter in May 2005. Jago has been co-presenting ITV News Anglia with Jonathan Wills since February 12, 2009.
