Storyline
She and Betty have an incredibly tense friendship, due to the fact that Amanda has attempted to undermine any decent thing that happens to Betty. However, as the series continues, Betty becomes a nicer friend, even moving in with her at one point in the series.
In Season 1, we find that the true mother of Amanda is the now-deceased Fey Sommers and an unnamed man according to Wilhelmina. Her father was later discovered to be the Soap Opera actor Spencer Cannon, whom she welcomed to Hilda’s wedding.

Storyline
Quinn is first seen in The Intoxicated Wagon, where Ted and Barney tell the gang about their club date. Barney is trying to play some tricks on her, but she’s not going to fall for them. It has been revealed that Quinn is the stripper of the Lusty Leopard under the stage name Karma. Although Ted, Robin, Lily, and Marshall were initially terrified, they concluded that Barney and Quinn were the perfect matches. While moving in together was originally part of the ruse, Quinn and Barney agreed to move in real together. Quinn offers her apartment to Ted and Robin for real, but they initially pass up the chance.
In The Magician’s Code-Part Two, Barney worries that Quinn will abandon him when he figures out that she hired a decorator to renovate her apartment. In Now We’re Even, Ted asks Barney if he wants “legendary nights” in Trilogy Time, and Barney and Quinn move in together. In Healthy Mad, Barney is worried about his friendship with Quinn and overreacts to circumstances connected to his career. In The Magicians’ Code: Part Three, Barney suggests a magic trick to Quinn.
