She is also James Olsen’s sister, the late nameless woman’s fiancée, Alex Danvers’ wife, and Esme’s foster mother. Kelly was hired by Obsidian North after coming to National City and assisted them in developing a technique to use their VR system to cope with traumas. Kelly wanted to help after watching her town being overlooked by the city, so she chose to become the next Guardian.
J’onn J’onzz, who was born between 1425 and 1640, is the solitary survivor of a “Martian Holocaust” perpetrated by White Martians. He fled to Earth and remained undiscovered for decades until he was discovered by D.E.O. Director Hank Henshaw. J’onn, who saved the world from Non and Indigo, was reinstated as director following his heroic actions. M’yrnn J’onzz, his father, too survived and was imprisoned for 300 years. J’onn left the D.E.O. after the Worldkillers and Alex was appointed to Director. He eventually formed an investigation firm and worked as a private detective for John Jones. As a result, the council exiled him to the Phantom Zone and erased all traces of him from the collective consciousness. Centuries later, the Monitor liberated Malefic and sent him to Earth to get revenge on his brother, in order to put J’onn to the test and ensure that he would be ready for the Anti-Monitor Crisis.
