She previously served as a sideline reporter for NFL Network’s Conference USA coverage in 2019, as an anchor and reporter covering NASCAR at Bristol Motor Speedway, and as a game anchor for the Charlotte Checkers and Charlotte Knights. Stroehlein also hosts a weekly program on the WFNZ News Network. Virginia. She is a former Virginia High School League Scholar/Athlete of the Year, Wendy Heisman finalist, WJHL Student/Athlete of the Year and earned All-District honors in basketball, volleyball, softball, track and cross country. Strolein was at the top of his class and went on to study education at Radford University. While at Radford University, he majored in track and field, competing in intramural track and field and graduating magna cum laude in mathematics.
After graduating from he moved to North Carolina to coach basketball and track and field while traveling with his mother and uncle, teaching middle school math at Statesville High School and Hough High School. During this time, he studied broadcasting at the Charlotte campus of the Connecticut College of Broadcasting. After completing the course at CTSB, Stroehlein was hired as a reporter at WBTV. Shortly thereafter, he worked as a sports reporter before being hired as a full-time football player. Stroehlein worked there for five years before joining WCNC. He also began reporting for national media in 2019, first for NFL Network and then as a college football reporter for ESPN in 2022-2023.
Stroehlein also worked as a freelance announcer for Bristol Motor Speedway during NASCAR Truck, Xfinity and Cup Series races. Prior to that, Stroehlein worked as a morning producer at CBS Radio KISS 95.1, an entertainment reporter at K 104.7, and a play-by-play anchor for the Charlotte Knights and Charlotte Checkers.
