She appeared as Audrey Sullivan, a lawyer who is the ostensibly Chinese child of adoptive white parents in the 2023 American comedy film Joy Ride. Audrey Sullivan, a Chinese adoptee with Caucasian parents, lives with her best friend Lolo Chen in Seattle. If they can consummate a contract with a Chinese businessman, they will be given a promotion. Audrey and Lolo travel to China and meet a drug dealer and former NBA great, Baron Davis. They hitchhike to China and realize that their mother is Korean. They impersonate a Korean idol group to cross the border, but their livestream goes viral, costing Audrey her job and jeopardizing Kat’s television deal.

The trio had a falling out and decides to split up. Audrey discovers her birth mother’s death and pays a visit to her cemetery, where her husband shows her a video shot by her birth mother prior to her death. Audrey returns to Seattle, where she reconciles with Lolo and Deadeye. Audrey, Lolo, Kat, and Deadeye are in Paris on a best-friends trip a year later. Audrey has established her own legal practice, Lolo has begun waiting tables and selling her paintings, Deadeye has accepted themselves as non-binary, and Kat’s acting career has resumed. They are still engaged to their Christian fiancé, Clarence.
