Crabb and Leigh Sales co-hosted the Chat 10 Looks 3 podcast in November 2014. It is separate from their work for other media sources and allows them to discuss books, movies, television, the media, and culture. The podcast episodes, which Sales and Crabb describe as shambolic and peripatetic, are recorded every two to three weeks.
The podcast has generated streaming shows in Australia’s big cities, as well as a book titled Well Hello, which will be released in September 2021. Self-described “chatters or chatterati” have developed a Chat 10 Looks 3 group on social media platforms based on the same principles as the podcast – friendliness, kindness, and a pledge not to talk politics.
Annabel Crabb Political views
Crabb is a regular ABC and Fairfax political analyst. She has written about former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott as an opposition leader, but her most major achievements as Prime Minister were acts of dismantlement or closing down. She noted in a May 2016 assessment of Abbott’s successor Malcolm Turnbull that he “struggled as Opposition leader,” with his main failing being that he overleapt his colleagues in his attempt to construct anything. Following Donald Trump’s election as President of the United States in 2016, Crabb wondered, “Where will Angry White Man strike next?” and wrote that “a kind of madness has come over the world.”
Crabb opposes reforming the contentious Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 prohibitions on free speech, but he does support legislation to legalize same-sex marriage. Businesses and service providers who refuse to cater to same-sex weddings have been labeled “homophobes” by her.
