Andrew Goffman is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and author/performer of the Off-Broadway one-man show The Accidental Pervert. He began his career as a stand-up comedian, touring New York City venues such as Carolines, Catch A Rising Star, The Comic Strip, and Stand Up New York.

Career

Goffman began his career as a comedian and performed at New York City clubs, including Carolines, Catch A Rising Star, Comic Strip, Stand Up New York, Boston Comedy Club, Comedy Cellar, and Rascals. He later performed internationally, including at the famous Canadian comedy club chain Yuk Yuks. His intense acting training began with coach JoAnna Beckson, who is known for teaching comedians how to perform. His friends include Kevin James, Rock Reuben, Dave Chappelle, Mary DiMino, Dave Attell and Ray Romano. Goffman made her off-Broadway debut in the hit comedy Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral, where she played the role for over a year.

He starred in films such as “First Lady” with Beth Midler, “iMurders” with William Forsythe, and “The Stand” with Kelly Ripa. In 2005, Goffman created his one-man show The Accidental Metamorphosis, which had its world premiere in New York’s Times Square. The show is directed by Charles Messina and airs at 13th Street Rep in New York City. “The Dissatisfied Mind” has been released in more than 15 countries on four continents and has many licenses associated with international producers, filmmakers and TV/film producers, the show is very good. Performed more than 1,500 times in New York City’s Greenwich Village
