On February 15, 2020, Harwick died when her hospital was brought under a balcony. Initial analysis showed that after a confrontation she was strangled and thrown out of the third floor. The perpetrator, who was arrested the following day and charged with murder under the specific case of ‘waiting, breaking and moving into and home breaking, has previously filed restraining orders. On 16 April 2020, Gareth Pursehouse pled not guilty. He is now in detention for investigation.
