Adams joined the Nine Network in Sydney in May 2008 as a general correspondent for Nine News. She has been a regular fill-in presenter on a number of Nine News bulletins as well as Today and Weekend Today. While regular presenter Wendy Kingston was on maternity leave in 2012, she hosted the Nine Morning News and Nine Afternoon News. Adams took over as host of Nine Morning News and Nine Afternoon News in January 2013, with Kingston taking over as host of Nine News Now.
