In the seventh episode of American Horror Story, Cult, Pill joins the cast as Ivy Mayfair-Richards, a worried mother in a difficult time. Ivy is a young mother and wife who is having financial issues. She strives to be strong for the people she loves and faces challenges as Ally’s phobias start to threaten the stability of their family. Ivy is a strong, independent woman who would stop at nothing to have Oz all to herself. Her eyes are brown, and she has short blonde hair.
After 9/11, Ally met Ivy, a woman with a history of phobias and depression, who assisted her in overcoming her despair. Ivy would be the cook and Ally would be the restauranteur when they founded a restaurant. After being married, Ally gave birth to Oz, their child, as a result of Ivy’s endometriosis. This increased Ivy’s jealousy and made her feel alienated.
Ivy got into a physical altercation with Gary Longstreet, a Trump fan, and Winter Anderson, a Hillary supporter, during a demonstration against the followers of Donald Trump. After Gary harassed them, they made the decision to exact retribution. When Kai, Winter’s brother, realized their intentions, he saved Gary and forced him to walk. Then, to Ivy’s surprise, Gary cast a Trump ballot with Kai’s assistance.
Ivy’s hatred for Ally increased after she cast her ballot because she knew she had voted for Jill Stein rather than Hillary Clinton. That Gary had gotten away and cut off his hand perplexed her. Ivy was then confronted by Kai, who asked her about her worst worry, which was that of her wife not being able to conceive or loving her son. These incidents made Ivy a member of Kai’s cult.
