In 2007, Grant had her first solo exhibition in Los Angeles at the Museum of Modern Art (MOCA). In 2008, she worked in the non-profit organization Watts House Initiative, which planned to renovate houses around the Watts Towers. In 2013, Grant partnered with Hélène Cixous on a twin series of exhibits, based on the latter’s Philippines novel. In 2016, Grant retired from the board of the ventures but continues to collect funds to finish the ‘Love House’ for which she was to create a large billboard. As of now, no work has been done.
The exhibition ‘Forêt Intérieure/Interior Woodland’ was first held at the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica and, in 2013, at Mains d’Oeuvres in Saint-Ouen, France. As part of a dialogue between Mainsd’Oeuvres and Nottingham Contemporary in 2016, Grant talked about their telepathic friendship in 2013. In 2017, in a talk at the 18th St Arts Centre, Grant and Cixous talked about telepathy in 2013, and in a catalog in 2016 to thank the many project participants.
In 2013, Grant continued this work in the ‘Century of the Self’ series.
