Biography
Alexander DiPersia is an American actor best known for his performance in the 2016 horror thriller Lights Out. DiPersia’s first appearance was a tiny cameo in the 2007 survival horror film I Am Legend.

He is 42 years old as of 6 March 2024. He was born in 1982 in New York, New York, United States. His real name is Alexander John DiPersia.
Family – Educaation
DiPersia was raised in Connecticut and New York City as the son of artist Ronna (Kaufman) and lawyer John DiPersia. His grandpa, Robert Kaufman, was an accomplished real estate entrepreneur. After completing the Hopkins School in New Haven, he moved to Boston to attend Boston College, where he studied philosophy.
Pose
He appeatred as Andre Taglioni in the Season Two episode Acting Up, of the FX series Pose. Andre Taglioni is a well-known photographer based in New York City who is also close to a modeling agent. Andre established himself in the photographic industry, working on tasks where he photographed models for Ford Agency. Miss Ford recommended that he do a photoshoot with a new model named Angel.
He told her before the shoot that he remembered her from previous visits to the Pier. During their hours of photography and isolation, Andre asks that Angel reveal her naked body and develop the images as “payment.” He was later assaulted by Lil Papi for the deed, confessing to the whereabouts of the photographs and negatives before fleeing wounded and damaged. Months later, he was assigned to photograph Angel again for a modeling job, but he never displayed any inappropriate conduct throughout the shoot.
Lights Out
He appeared as Bret, Rebecca’s boyfriend in the 2016 American supernatural horror film Lights Out. In a textile factory, Esther meets a weird woman with claw-like hands, who kills Paul. Martin, Paul’s son, observes his mother, Sophie, speaking to something in the dark. Rebecca, Paul’s stepdaughter, is summoned to the school nurse’s office and discovers that their mother has been chatting to a woman named Diana.Rebecca assures her mother that Diana is not real, and that she had heard their mother speak to Diana as a child.
Rebecca discovers medical records and studies at Paul’s office, revealing that their mother was taken to a mental hospital as a youngster and befriended a little patient called Diana.Diana was seen to be malevolent and capable of “getting into people’s heads” after her father committed suicide as a result of Diana’s influence. Rebecca, her boyfriend Bret, and Martin conduct an intervention with Sophie on their mother’s haunting. They spent the night at Sophie’s house to prevent an attack, but Diana turns off the power in the neighborhood. They lock Rebecca and Martin in the basement and try to kill Bret. Bret arrives with two police officers, who rescue Martin and Rebecca from the basement.
Diana informs Rebecca that she murdered Rebecca’s father years ago, and she injures Rebecca for attempting to assist her. Sophie shoots Diana, but Diana claims it won’t hurt her. Sophie learns she is Diana’s last connection to the real world and commits suicide to save Rebecca and Martin. Diana disappears from existence.
Career
After completing the Hopkins School in New Haven, he moved to Boston to attend Boston College, where he studied philosophy. He most recently appeared in the Warner Brothers horror picture Lights Out, alongside Teresa Palmer and Maria Bello. He is also filming a significant recurring part in Amazon’s drama series Good Girls Revolt. He plays a war veteran who tries to restart his life after being profoundly influenced by his experiences in Vietnam. He starred in “Drifting: Part 1” and “Drifting: Part 2” short films directed by Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal, as well as the drama “Thorns” which screened at the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals.
DiPersia has also appeared in I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, and An American Carol, co-starring Kelsey Grammer. He has been on Fox’s Gotham and CBS’ NCIS: New Orleans. DiPersia portrayed Marco Vitturi in Lovestruck: The Musical.
DiPersia is also involved in the New York art scene as a collector, curator, and advisor. He creates collections and specializes in art-related interior design for clients. He has worked on lobbies in New York as well as the permanent collection for the new skyscrapers at Hudson Yards.
