She’s on display at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. in the digital journalism exhibit.
Alex is extremely happy to be a University of Missouri (MIZZOU) Tiger, having graduated from the nation’s first and greatest journalism school. She majored in Sociology and minored in Spanish. She was named Mizzou’s Homecoming Queen during her time at the university.She also founded the “SWIPES Make a Difference” community service initiative for students, which continues to assist college students in donating leftover meal plans to those in need in their areas. Alex continues to assist with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and uses her service spirit. She belongs to the National Association of Black Journalists as well.
