Alex Herschlag is an American television producer, writer and stand-up comedian. He is best known for his work on the sitcom Will & Grace. Herschlag is also known for Will & Grace (1998), Modern Family (2009) and Hot in Cleveland (2010).

She moved to Montreal, Quebec to attend McGill University, where she studied psychology. He began performing stand-up in Montreal and continued performing after moving to San Francisco after college. While living in San Francisco, he began creating stage sets for various artist groups.
She later moved to Los Angeles, where she began performing with a group of performers, including the unknown Molly Shannon. After encountering much disappointing work, Hirschlag began writing material for various comedians.
