In 2012, Brooker competed in Channel 4’s Half a Million Quid Talent Search, which sought impaired talent for coverage of the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games and beyond. He made his Channel 4 debut as a trackside reporter at the 2011 BT Paralympic World Cup. During the 2012 Summer Paralympics opening ceremony, Brooker interviewed Boris Johnson and David Cameron, and he co-hosted The Last Leg with Adam Hills, a nightly alternative look at the Games. Brooker also appeared on The Last Leg of the Year, a year-end special co-hosted by Adam Hills and Josh Widdicombe.
Brooker has been a co-host of Channel 4’s The Last Leg since January 25, 2013. Brooker interviewed Nick Clegg for the show in February 2015, and his performance was regarded as “a model of how to talk normally to a politician – and make them talk normally back” by political journalist Hugo Rifkind. Brooker hosted Brooker: My Perfect Body, a one-off documentary about body image on Channel 4 on August 1, 2013.
Brooker co-hosted the first series of Channel 4’s celebrity reality show The Jump with Davina McCall in January and February 2014. The programme aired live from a hillside in Austria for ten nights.
