Career

While in college, Morganti began his journalism career by covering high school and college hockey games for the Boston Globe. Morganti’s first full-time job in sports journalism was at the Financial Times. The Fort Lauderdale News covers the Miami Dolphins. Inspired by his love of hockey, Morganti joined the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 1979 as a hockey writer covering the Atlanta Flames. After five months at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Morganti worked as a staff writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Flyers from 1979 to 1989. In 1988, Morganti joined The Hockey News as a staff writer and wrote a column three days a week for the Local Daily News.
